Andrew “Andy” Thomas Schwarze, Sr., 55, of Creedmoor, NC, passed away at Hock Family Pavilion on January 27, 2026.
Andy was born in Wheaton, Illinois, and shortly thereafter moved to Covington, Kentucky. At the age of three, he relocated to Durham, North Carolina, where he lived until age 38, before making his home in Creedmoor, NC.
Andy cherished his time in the Boy Scouts as both a Cub Scout and an Explorer. He also proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with the Parkwood Volunteer Fire Department. He was a 1989 graduate of Jordan High School in Durham. Andy loved his work as a landscaper and took great pride in his craft.
Above all, Andy was a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a loving father. Over the last two years, his favorite role was being “Pappy” to his "Sweetie".
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rhonda; his children, Andrew “Tommy” Schwarze, Jr., Haley Wrenn (Kyle), Kobie Williams, Kelsey Blackwell, and Kolton Blackwell; his granddaughter, Macie Wrenn; his parents, Herb and Jan Schwarze; and his brothers, Bill Schwarze (Jeanne) and Mike Schwarze (Lori).
He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan Scott Schwarze.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to Hock Family Pavilion, 4023 N. Roxboro St. Durham, NC 27704 or Parkwood United Methodist Church, 5123 Revere Rd. Durham, NC 27713.
