Anna Jaffe Wilson passed away suddenly in the presence of family on the night of November 20, 2025 from causes currently unknown. She was 36 years old. Born in Durham, she lived near Pittsboro until attending Carolina Friends School. She spent most of her life in a small house overlooking Lake Ellen in Chapel Hill, NC. Diagnosed with autism at age three, Anna faced and overcame many challenges, earning a BA degree from UNC-CH. She was attending a graduate program in Spanish at the time of her passing. A devoted student with an excellent memory, she had interests spanning many fields of study, and would often share her unique gift of seeing links between people and events that would amaze most people. She enjoyed her community and was a fixture at all libraries and various local establishments (Flyleaf Books, The Root Cellar, and Weaver Street Market in particular). She is survived by her parents, Paul E. Wilson and Leslie L. Jaffe, her grandfather Jack H. Wilson, Arthur I. Wilson, Eliot K. Wilson, Anna Rose Jaffe Back, Lyla Wren Wilson, many more distant relations, and numerous friends.
