Barbara Ann Rice

With tranquil hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Rice on July 20, 2025, surrounded by love at the age of 78.

Born in Prince George's County Maryland, Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love shared with family and friends.

She is survived by brother's Robert Guthrie, and wife Claudia, Benjamin Guthrie, and wife Caroline, sister's, Loretta Clenney and Wilma Contic. 

Children, Peggy Singletary and husband, Tony, Chrissy Jarman and husband Paul, Robert Dodson and wife Denise, Tammy Perry and Ray Rice, Michael Dodson and wife Lee, Rebecca Martin and husband Ronald. 

Children by marriage, Richard Rice and wife Kathy, Shannon Rice.  Preceded by parents Robert and Celia Guthrie, spouse Richard Rice and son Gordon Dodson.

Barbara greatly advanced to God's kingdom actively participating in God's work on earth with much influence upon many Nephews and Nieces, as well as Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren 

A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on August 3, 2025 at Hope Church 1696 Amelia Church Rd, Clayton, NC 27520.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hope Church in Barbara's honor.
