Glenda Lee Small, age 76, of Burlington, NC, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, after a two-year illness.
Born on May 1, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Bernice and Kenneth Wulf, she will be remembered for her Kindness, generosity, strength, smart, funny, and beauty. She was the oldest of seven children. She joined the army at age 18. Glenda went back to school and got her GED. She decided to go on to ACC to get a two-year degree in medical transcription. She was dedicated to her family, loved to create, and read every book she could get her hands on. Glenda loved riding roller coasters. She rode every coaster could get on. She played several game systems. Glenda enjoyed playing Final Fantasy, always making sure she did all the quests within the game. She enjoyed several types of music. She loved listening to the Beatles, Coldplay, ABBA, and Red Hot Chil peppers as her top favorite bands. She was up for listening to anything but country. She did enjoy bluegrass music. Glenda attended several local bluegrass gatherings with her family. She was close to her cat Callie, who passed away a couple of months before her. She loved all animals. She kept fishes for a while. Glenda foster dogs and cats. She always thought of the environment and how she took care of it. She believed in eating healthy yet enjoyed her sweets. She loved the garden where we grew our food. Glenda joined a co op to make sure her family ate healthy. She did yoga, trying to take care of herself. Glenda was a Girl Scout Leader when her daughters were in it. She was proud of her eight grandchildren. She loved everyone of them. She made sure to attend every activity they were in when she could. She babysit them taking care of all their needs. She would follow one her grand kids around with her feeding pole, so she could play with her siblings. Her rough start in life never stopped her from being the best mom, wife and grandmother she could be.
Glenda Small is survived by her loving family, including her husband John Small, four children: Christina, Kim, Kevin, and Cameron. Glenda will be missed by many people for her fun-loving nature.
