Lisette Eugenia Díaz Montero passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters and devoted husband, Carlos.

A dedicated wife and family matriarch, Lisette was also a gifted artist and gracious friend. Known affectionately as Mimi, she was a radiant light to everyone around her, bringing warmth, humor, and an enchantment with life that spread incredible joy.

Born under the vibrant summer sun in Santa Clara, Cuba, Lisette was a fierce protector of her family. She played a key role in supporting her parents and younger sister during their courageous immigration to the United States in her youth. Shortly thereafter, she met her soulmate, Carlos, and together they embarked on a journey of love and partnership, building a home filled with laughter, sweetness, and music, as piano keys often danced in the background.

Lisette was deeply spiritual and a passionate lover of the arts. She cherished her roles as a proud mother and grandmother, the most supportive aunt, and a master storyteller who captivated everyone with her tales. Her rich and beautiful love story with Carlos spanned 52 years, a beacon of light that shone brightly until her last moments.

Throughout her life, Lisette often expressed that she thought and felt in color, yet it was she who brought a bold vibrancy and energy to every room she entered. Her legacy of love and joy will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who adored her.
