Lydia Lynn Blue

Lydia Lynn Blue, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on September 19, 2026, at UNC Hospital following a brief illness.

Lynn was born on March 8, 1958, to Edwin Martin Blue and Greta Hall Blue. She graduated with honors from Western Carolina University and spent the majority of her career working in sales.

Lynn is survived by her mother, Greta Blue of Winston-Salem; her brother, Neil Blue and his wife, Vonda, of Winston-Salem; her niece, Kara Blue of Raleigh; her nephew, Jacob Blue of Santa Monica, California; and numerous cousins.

Lynn also leaves behind her beloved cat, Simon, who was a cherished companion and brought her much love and joy.

Lynn was fortunate to have many wonderful friends throughout her life, including Patricia Kirley and Brad Flynn, whose friendship and support were especially meaningful during her illness. She also deeply valued the many friendships she made through the Bass Lake Area Shag Society and the Raleigh Shag Club.

In accordance with Lynn’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
