Mary Jane Waldron

Mary Jane Waldron, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024 in Chapel Hill, NC.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.

Mary Jane was born in Tucson, Arizona, to Sanford (Sam) and Jane Ormsby (nee Ward), and was raised in Fair Haven, New York.  In 1977, she married her loving husband, Carl.  Together, they moved to Florida in 1978, where they raised their family.  Mary Jane was a dedicated nurse and educator, touching many lives through her work and compassion.

She is survived by her husband Carl; her sons Erin and Adam; her daughter-in-law Kayla; her granddaughters Olivia and Isla; her sister April Emmert; and her mother Jane Ormsby.  Mary Jane and Carl moved to North Carolina in 2022 to be closer to their family.

Mary Jane will be remembered for her strength, grace, kindness, dedication and the positive impact she had on everyone who knew her.  Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and the many students and patients she cared for throughout her career.
