Always an active father, he could most often be found playing and spending time with his children or grandchildren, and could always be counted on for jokes and laughter. Mike was dependable, steady, and always willing to help. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Ann Keefe Stanley, and father, James Leon Stanley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Blythe Stanley, children, Catherine Stanley and Michael Stanley Jr., daughter-in-law, Crystal Shreve, and grandchildren, Jaiden Lytle and Madeleine Stanley-Gibbs.

He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Mac and Nancy Blythe, brother-in-law Mac Blythe Jr. (Doreen), and many nieces and nephews.
