Richard pursued his education at the University of Cincinnati, laying the foundation for a successful career as a commercial trader within the textile industry. His professional endeavors showcased his acumen and commitment to excellence, but it was his warm and engaging personality that truly set him apart. He will be remembered for his extreme generosity, sincere kindness, spectrum of friendships, love of politics, fondness for his departed dog Leo, and culinary delights, which he readily and unselfishly shared with others. Richard was devoted to God and was comfortable sharing his faith with those who were open to listen. In his last months he revived a message previously written, intended to reach an audience in hopes of bringing them closer to the reality of the Messiah of Israel.
His gregarious nature endeared him to many, bringing laughter and joy to those fortunate enough to befriend him. Richard's magnetic personality created a network of friendships, which extended beyond the boundaries of work or personal interest.
Richard is survived by his beloved sister, Pamela Seigle of Boston, her husband, Marc, his niece Ann Seigle and nephew Jed (Jen), and their children, Clara and Theo. He was preceded in death by his father, Irving Yenoff, and his mother, Elaine Lechtner.
In his final days, Richard was surrounded by devoted friends and caregivers while under the watch of hospice, reflecting the love and support he so readily gave to others throughout his life. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by those who had the privilege of drawing near to him. His family and friends are grateful for the loving and compassionate homecare of Simon Sielei and the Duke Hospice nurses. His legacy will continue through the connection he fostered with family and friends.
