IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Veronica Christine
Parker
November 15, 1994 – February 7, 2026
Veronica was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her, a woman of boundless kindness, fierce devotion, and quiet strength.
She has been surrounded by love since learning of her diagnosis of stage four colorectal cancer november 11, 2025.
She passed from this world surrounded by love, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by the light she carried so naturally.
At her core, Veronica was love in action. She was an extraordinary mother to Parker and Remi, the steady center of their world and their greatest champion. Even in the hardest days of her illness, she chose presence. She chose the park. She chose gymnastics class. She chose movie nights and whispered reassurances. She chose her children again and again.
She carried that same tenderness and intention into her work at Children’s Garden Montessori School, where she poured her heart into her students. She believed deeply in nurturing curiosity, independence, and kindness. To her students, she was more than a teacher. She was a steady guide, a safe place, and a gentle encourager of their growing minds and spirits. The love she gave in her classroom will ripple outward for years to come.
She was a devoted partner and wife, and to be loved by her was to be seen fully and held gently. Her marriage was built not only on romance, but on intention, laughter, shared resilience, and deep friendship. She believed in choosing love daily, even when life was unimaginably difficult.
Veronica was a beloved daughter and sister. She shared a deep bond with her father, Matt, and with her sisters, Madalyn and Jillian. She also built family wherever she went. Kristy and Ryan, and their children, were her chosen family, a bond formed not by blood but by loyalty, love, and a shared life woven tightly together. Family was never an obligation to Veronica. It was a joy. She showed up with warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty, and her presence brought steadiness and light to those closest to her.
She had a quick wit, an intelligent mind, and a gift for making people feel safe and valued. She showed up consistently and compassionately, and people trusted her with their stories and their hearts.
Her grace in the face of illness revealed what those closest to her already knew. She possessed uncommon courage. She met each day not with bitterness, but with gratitude for time, especially time with her children and family. Her strength was never loud, but it was unwavering.
She is survived by her beloved children, Parker and Remi; her husband, Will; her father, Matt; her sisters, Madalyn and Jillian; her chosen family, Kristy, Ryan, Braden and Briana; her extended family; her colleagues at Children’s Garden Montessori School; and the many students whose lives she shaped with patience and love.
Veronica’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Transitions hospice and UNC Health for the care, love and compassion shown to Veronica since her cancer diagnosis in early November.
Veronica’s legacy is not defined by her illness, but by her presence. The warmth of her smile. The steadiness of her hand. The softness of her heart. The fierce love she gave so freely.
In every universe and every timeline, she remains a shining light.
In keeping with Veronica’s wishes there will not be a public service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parker and Remi’s college funds or to the GoFundMe established for the care of Veronica and her children.
