William Sebastian Eddy

1985 — 2025

Raleigh, NC

William Sebastian Eddy, lovingly known to family as “Linus” and to the rest of the world as “Will,” passed away unexpectedly at the age of 40. A resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, but a Northeasterner at heart, his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Will lived a life defined by curiosity, warmth, and a steadfast belief in people. He carried an eccentric charm, a quiet magic that made others feel seen and at ease, and a rare ability to root for those around him—to see the best in people, even when they struggled to see it themselves.

Will earned his Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from East Carolina University. He built a meaningful career as a data and business analyst in the technology and healthcare sectors, where he worked to validate DEI data to improve hiring practices and create fairer, more inclusive workplaces. Earlier in his career, Will was a nationally recognized top sales professional for Vitamix, earning countless awards and accolades for his exceptional dedication and ability to connect with others.

Above all else, Will was a devoted and deeply loving father. He poured his heart into raising his children, Everett and Juniper, and took immense joy in the everyday moments of parenthood. His love for them showed up in a thousand small ways, including long nature walk adventures, painting and woodwork at the Marbles Kids Museum, cooking Octonauts-inspired octodogs and kelp cakes, and goofily dancing to the Hot Dog outro from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Will’s passions were as varied as they were heartfelt. He loved jamming and collecting new guitars, traveling, cooking, and playing mini golf. He had a deep appreciation for horticulture and permaculture and always found genuine delight in a well-stacked produce department. There is no doubt that Will brought intention and love into everything he did.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Justine Wan; his children, Everett and Juniper Eddy; his mother, Martina Kominiarek (Jacques Peterman); his father, Charles Eddy (Lalena Fisher); his sisters Cordelia Eddy (Ender Eddy) and Annika Fisher-Eddy; his brother, Sherman Eddy (Emma Sayers); and a wide circle of family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his eldest child, Steven, as well as his Aunt Cindy, Grandma Mary Jane, Uncle Jon, Grandpa Marvin, and Grandma Peggy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to support Will’s children.
